Basics About Sit-Ups
Sit-ups, also known as trunk bends, are a deadweight exercise as you don't need any additional weights. It is probably one of the best-known exercises for strengthening the abdominal muscles. In contrast to crunches, your entire upper body is lifted off the floor and you sit up completely as part of the exercise. You lower yourself back down to the starting position in a controlled manner and as slowly as possible with your abdominal muscles tensed. Sit-ups train your abdominal muscles and hip flexors.
