Gorilla Sports Multi Trap Bar - Versatile Design with Multiple Handle Options

A Trap Bar - also known as a hex bar - can help to make your barbell training even more versatile. A particular advantage of this training device is that the trap bar generally puts less strain on your back, provided you perform the exercises correctly and properly. During the workout, the strength is drawn from the muscle groups from which it should come.

The Multi Trap Bar from Gorilla Sports will impress you with its texture - before, during and after your workout:

  • Multi Trap Bar with 3 different handle diameters
  • Available handle diameters: 25 mm, 28 mm and 50 mm
  • Made of powder-coated steel with chrome-plated mount
  • Diameter of the holder: 50 mm
  • Length of the holder: 32 cm
  • Dimensions of the trap bar (L x W): 171 cm x 78 cm
  • 4 stable feet - height each: 1.5 cm

When looking for a suitable trap bar for your purposes, always consider its own weight - this is 20 kg for this model, which is in the ideal range for efficient training.

What Are the Benefits of a Trap Bar?

An effective workout and a mix of deadlifts and squats, which are gentle on your joints. Your hands remain in a neutral position, making it even easier for you to focus on performing the exercises cleanly. It is often also possible to train with a little more weight and to put more strain on the legs than would be the case with classic deadlifts.

A simple technique. Based on the use of a trap bar, the deadlift is often easier to learn. Beginners in particular can benefit from this if they have never done this type of training before.

With classic deadlifts, there is sometimes a high risk of putting too much strain on the back. This can usually be counteracted by using a trap bar. Due to the special shape of the trap bar, it is often possible to remain in a more upright position during the workout and shift the centre of gravity.

Due to the different grip thicknesses, your grip strength is also challenged more than with classic dumbbell bars.

Who Can Benefit Most from a Trap Bar?

Both beginners and advanced athletes can benefit from using a trap bar. Especially those who are not yet too familiar with the deadlift training routine have found a suitable way to take their first steps and achieve training success with the trap bar.

If you want, you can also integrate this type of equipment into your circuit training.

In this context, however, it should also be noted that trap bar training is not a replacement, but a supplement or preparation for classic deadlifts. It can also make sense to start with the trap bar version of the targeted workout as part of a planned increase in weight and intensity.
